This month the Whiteside Family Association, a group dedicated to genealogical and historical research of Whiteside kindred, will hold its annual meeting in Knoxville. It isn't a coincidence that the Association chose East Tennessee for the meeting, because this area was home to some famous Whiteside family members in the early years of the state.
