Bean Station Police Department Detective John McMurray received special recognition during the Bean Station Board of Mayor and Aldermen workshop Monday, Oct. 17. McMurray recently graduated from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's State Academy. Mayor Terry Wolfe said about 15 officers across the state are selected to attend the academy each year.
